Flag Football Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Vestavia Hills Rebels + How To Watch

The Central Red Devils will face off against the Vestavia Hills Rebels at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last 11 contests.

Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 38-7 win over Smiths Station. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Vestavia Hills entered their tilt with Spain Park on Wednesday with 26 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 27. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 20-19 W against the Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since October 29, 2024.

Vestavia Hills had a senior duo take command as Molly Mac Sharp picked up 135 receiving yards and two TDs and Julia Rose threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns. Rose is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Vestavia Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Alexis Rubin, Emma Kate Jacobs, and Kate Fitzpatrick picked up one apiece. Emma Harper was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Central's win bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Vestavia Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 28-1.
