Basketball Recap: Niles Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Niles Notre Dame was the 61-40 winner over Hinsdale Central when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Niles Notre Dame Dons were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 61-60 to the Hinsdale Central Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Red Devils are ranked fifth).

With the defeat, Niles Notre Dame broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8. As for Hinsdale Central, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.
