Softball Recap: Amsterdam Rams vs. Scotia-Glenville Tartans
After flying high against Schuylerville on Friday, Amsterdam came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Scotia-Glenville Tartans by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Tartans: they've now lost nine in a row.
Ellie Tirado made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Brielle Winn was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Scotia-Glenville, they moved to 5-10 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
