Softball Recap: Exeter Monarchs vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears
Exeter was the 6-2 winner over Sierra Pacific when they last played one another back in March of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Monarchs fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Monarchs have suffered since April 30, 2024.
Chloe Sparrow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
