            Basketball Recap: Wray Eagles vs. Valley Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            If Wray was feeling good  fresh off their  68-38 takedown of Frontier Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wray Eagles took  a  37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vikings on Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Wray lost, don't look at  Addison Jones. Despite the final result, she  posted 14  points in addition to eight  steals and five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Danyelle Davis, who  earned 12 points and five  steals.
 Even though they lost, Wray  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 13  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  matches.
 It was another big night for  Nevaeh Jimenez, who  dropped  a double-double with 11  points and 20  boards for Valley. Jimenez is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in each of the last five games she's  played.  Brianna Orona was another key player,  putting up six points and eight  boards.
Wray's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Valley, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-9.
 Wray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they will face off against Berthoud at 6:30  p.m.  on March 7th. Berthoud is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4  points per game  this season.
