Football Game Preview: Burgettstown Blue Devils vs. Bishop Canevin Crusaders + Official Tickets

The Burgettstown Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Bishop Canevin Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burgettstown has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 29.

Burgettstown's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Serra Catholic on Friday. They were beaten by the Eagles 29-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bishop Canevin against Monessen on Friday as the squad secured a 44-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Crusaders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Greyhounds are ranked 356th).

Burgettstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bishop Canevin, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Burgettstown was dealt a bruising 42-6 loss at the hands of Bishop Canevin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
