Baseball Recap: Olympia Drops Highest Score of Season Against Boone

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olympia). They put the hurt on the Boone Braves with a sharp 16-6 win on Wednesday. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 11-6 victory the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Ethan Rathmann was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Samuel Grande, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Olympia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Olympia and bumps their season record up to 3-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Boone, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympia will host Tournament Opponent on Friday. As for Boone, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Boone has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
