Baseball Recap: Pajaro Valley Comes Up Short

Pajaro Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Watsonville Wildcatz, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcatz this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 last Thursday.

Pajaro Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Watsonville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-9.

Coming up, Pajaro Valley will host Gonzales at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something the Grizzlies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Watsonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcatz's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season.
