Baseball Recap: Bayside Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Bayside was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 3-0 to the Melbourne Bulldogs. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

Bayside has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season. Melbourne has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Bayside will be playing at home against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Titusville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.44 runs per game on average), something Bayside will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Melbourne, they will be taking part in a tournament against IMG Academy Royal at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Melbourne's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so IMG Academy Royal's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
