Recap: Green Sea Floyds Trojans vs. Latta Vikings
The Green Sea Floyds Trojans lost against the Latta Vikings back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Green Sea Floyds ended up on the wrong side of a tough 41-16 walloping at the hands of Latta. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Green Sea Floyds in their matchups with Latta: they've now lost four in a row.
Jamarion (3j) jones had a dynamite game for Latta, rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. (3j) jones really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run. Labron Cobb was another key contributor, throwing for 58 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.
Green Sea Floyds' loss was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2 Johnsonville and 7-3 Lamar (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.2% over those games). As for Latta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Green Sea Floyds does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Latta will look to defend their home field on Friday against Allendale-Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. Allendale-Fairfax is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
