            Softball Recap: Port Allen Pelicans vs. Livonia Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            If Port Allen was riding high  fresh off their  37-17 takedown of Tara last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pelicans lost  18-3 to the Livonia Wildcats on Friday. The Pelicans have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

 Port Allen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Marsha Shirley, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. Shirley is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last six games she's  played.
Port Allen's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Livonia, their victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Allen will head out to  challenge Dunham  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Livonia, they will face off against Slaughter Community Charter at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5  runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
