Recap: Escondido Charter White Tigers vs. Escondido Cougars
Even though the Escondido Cougars scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, the Escondido Charter White Tigers still came out on top. Escondido Charter took their match against Escondido 68-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Escondido Charter.
Escondido Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Pincock out in front who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Escondido Charter now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Escondido, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Escondido Charter and Oceanside will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Oceanside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 215 points over their last three matchups. As for Escondido, they will play host again and welcome Clairemont, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clairemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Escondido likes a good challenge.
