Recap: Butte Central Catholic Maroons vs. Polson Pirates
This season hasn't been kind to the Butte Central Catholic Maroons, who are still winless after their fifth game. They fell to Polson 52-46. Butte Central Catholic was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Polson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Polson's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Natalie Adams, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Adams scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Rensvold, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Butte Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Polson, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Butte Central Catholic will take on Ronan in a holiday battle at TBD on Tuesday at. Polson will be home for the holidays to greet Stevensville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevensville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
