Baseball Recap: Dardanelle Takes a Loss

Dardanelle lost against Mena back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sand Lizards fell 9-5 to the Bearcats. The Sand Lizards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cam Evans made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Dardanelle's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Mena, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dardanelle is set to face off against their familiar foe Waldron at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mena will square off against rival Pottsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
