Quincy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Selah Vikings, falling 12-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Selah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Quincy will square off against rival Ephrata at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Selah is set to challenge their familiar foe Othello at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.8, the Huskies 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
