Softball Game Preview: Huntington North Vikings vs. Heritage Patriots

The Huntington North Vikings will take on the Heritage Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Huntington North had taken New Haven down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Vikings took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Kayda Newman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Craig, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Woodlan hit Heritage with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots fell 8-3 to the Warriors.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Huntington North, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
