Softball Recap: George Washington Patriots vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

George Washington stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. Everything went their way against the Tippecanoe Red Devils as the George Washington Patriots made off with an 18-4 win. Winning may never get old, but George Washington sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Lauren Ballard made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Ballard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Karalyne Wade was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Addie Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

George Washington is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
