Football Game Preview: Shepherd Hill Regional Rams vs. Marlborough Panthers

The Shepherd Hill Regional Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Marlborough Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Shepherd Hill Regional sitting on four straight wins and Marlborough on five.

Shepherd Hill Regional is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Oakmont Regional 62-38 on Friday. Considering the Rams have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Marlborough hadn't done well against Nashoba Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Wolves, posting a 55-28 victory. The Panthers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the sixth game they've won by 20+ points this season.

Marlborough's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-1.

Shepherd Hill Regional didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Marlborough when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
