Benjamin Franklin is a perfect 3-0 against Mogollon since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Chargers will be taking part in a tournament against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Benjamin Franklin will be strutting in after a win while Mogollon will be coming in after a defeat.

Benjamin Franklin's tournament run continued when they took on Round Valley on Thursday. The Chargers skirted past the Elks 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Elks: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Mogollon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 15-12 to Phoenix Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (ten), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Hadley Porter and Quinn Tenney did some serious damage despite the final result: Porter went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and one run, while Tenney went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Cort Porter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Mogollon's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Benjamin Franklin, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Benjamin Franklin took their win against Mogollon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
