Soccer Recap: Huffman Comes Up Short

Huffman lost against Mountain Brook back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huffman Vikings lost 10-0 to the Mountain Brook Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Spartans are ranked tenth).

Huffman is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Mountain Brook, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huffman will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chelsea at 5:30 p.m. on March 17th. As for Mountain Brook, they will be playing at home against Pike Road at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mountain Brook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.3 goals per game this season.
