Soccer Recap: Weir's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

After failing to score in their last match, Weir made sure to put some goals up on the board against Edison on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 9-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Weir's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 34th in West Virginia, while Edison are ranked 524th in Ohio).

Weir's offense was hitting Edison from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Kylie Dunmyer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
