Basketball Recap: Mother Mcauley Falls Despite Big Games from Delia Sullivan and Quinn Arundel

Mother McAuley lost against Montini Catholic back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mother McAuley Mighty Macs took a hard 58-44 fall against the Montini Catholic Broncos. The Mighty Macs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Mother McAuley had strong showings from Quinn Arundel, who went 6 of 15 en route to 21 points and five assists, and Delia Sullivan, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Mother McAuley's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Montini Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Mother McAuley has already played their next contest, a 47-38 victory against DePaul College Prep on the 8th. As for Montini Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-67 defeat against Aurora Central Catholic on the 8th.
