Hawthorne Valley takes loss despite strong efforts from Oliver Towe and Noah Vom Stein

Recap: Hawthorne Valley Wildcats vs. Loudonville Christian Eagles

The Hawthorne Valley Wildcats lost against the Loudonville Christian Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hawthorne Valley fell 62-50 to Loudonville Christian. Hawthorne Valley has struggled against Loudonville Christian recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Hawthorne Valley had strong showings from Noah Vom Stein, who scored 20 points, and Oliver Towe, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Vom Stein's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Fabian Gitt-Henderson, who scored six points.

Hawthorne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Loudonville Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawthorne Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hunter-Tannersville at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Loudonville Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Taconic Hills at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th.
