Jones County waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 21 straight wins... but they left with 22. They enjoyed a cozy 66-47 win over the Union Grove Wolverines. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Wolverines are ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jones County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamiyah Adams, who posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Adams' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Anderson, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Jones County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matches.

Union Grove's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Adams, who scored 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Alexis Parson, who earned eight points and six rebounds.

Jones County pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Union Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.

Jones County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-51 victory against Stockbridge on the 5th. As for Union Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-34 win against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy on the 7th.
