Softball Recap: Evansville Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Princeton on Wednesday, Evansville Central came back down to earth. The Bears lost 18-6 to the Evansville North Huskies on Friday. The Bears have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Evansville Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Walls, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Kirstyn Tungate was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Evansville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Evansville North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evansville Central will take on Evansville Reitz at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evansville North, they will be playing at home against Barr-Reeve at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
