The Connally Cadets will venture away from home to square off against the La Vega Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Connally will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Connally against Lorena as the squad secured a 34-7 win. With the Cadets ahead 21-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Connally's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamarion Vincent, who rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and Braeden Ford, who rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Vincent's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

It was another big night for Bryson Roland, who rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Connally's record now sits at 5-3. As for La Vega, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Connally beat La Vega 48-40 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Roland, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
