Baseball Recap: Golden Demons vs. Pueblo South Colts
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Golden had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Pueblo South Colts as they made off with a 10-2 victory. Considering the Demons have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Taden Svendsen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Andrew Romero and Luca Casali did most of the damage at the plate: Romero went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Casali went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Anthony Boucher was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
