Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield lost against Chambers/Wheeler Central back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bloomfield Bees took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Beau Eisenhauer, who went 9 of 15 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Those 23 points gave Eisenhauer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Smith, who posted ten points.

Chambers/Wheeler Central found their leader in sophomore Michael Jesse, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Blackmore, who put up nine points.

Bloomfield dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Bloomfield has already played their next matchup, a 76-36 win against Winside on the 27th. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-35 victory against Niobrara/Verdigre on the 28th.
