Baseball Recap: Salina Takes a Loss

Salina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kansas Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 18th.

Salina's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Kansas, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Salina has already played their next contest, a 10-1 defeat against Ketchum on the 25th. As for Kansas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Adair on the 27th.
