Basketball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Skates Past Faith Baptist School with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holly Grove Christian). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 48-20 stomp they got against the Faith Baptist School Falcons. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Holly Grove Christian found their leader in freshman Abby Pruitt, who went 11 of 16 en route to 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pruitt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Salvas, who posted eight points.

Holly Grove Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Holly Grove Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Faith Baptist School, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holly Grove Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Nandua at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Faith Baptist School also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Seaside Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
