Basketball Game Preview: Marina Vikings vs. Edison Chargers

The Marina Vikings will take on the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Marina is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since January 15, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Los Alamitos, falling 102-81. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (59), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Edison didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Corona del Mar on Friday, but they still walked away with a 63-59 victory. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by exactly four points.

Marina's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Marina didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Edison in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. Will Marina repeat their success, or does Edison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
