            Baseball Recap: Flintridge Prep Wolves vs. Alhambra Moors        
        
		
        
        
            Alhambra typically has all the answers at home, but  on Wednesday Flintridge Prep proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Moors with a sharp  14-3 win. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Moors  back in February, they had to take a  10-6  defeat.
 Christopher Chino looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in five consecutive appearances.

 At the plate, Flintridge Prep got a  massive  performance out of  Will Grable, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Grable is becoming a predictor of the Wolves' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 2-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Gavin Fong, who  went 3-for-5 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.
 Flintridge Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .632. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Flintridge Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Alhambra, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-4-1.
 Looking ahead, Flintridge Prep will take on Chadwick at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wolves are facing the Dolphins at the right time seeing as the Dolphins are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Alhambra, they will square off against Montebello at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday.
