Carroll is 8-2 against Bastrop since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Carroll Bulldogs will host the Bastrop Rams at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Carroll sitting on three straight victories and Bastrop on five.

Carroll is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Sterlington: they outscored them in every quarter. Carroll strolled past Sterlington with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 71-52. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Panthers are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bastrop took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 86-18 win over North Webster. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 23 points or more this season.

Carroll better keep an eye on Antron Mason II. He was instrumental in Bastrop's win, shooting 6-for-11 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten steals. The game was Mason II's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lebron Deal, who posted 17 points in addition to seven steals and five assists.

Bastrop smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Bastrop, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Carroll beat Bastrop 65-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Carroll have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bastrop turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
