Baseball Recap: Archbishop Alter Takes a Loss

The Archbishop Alter Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Shawnee Braves on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Archbishop Alter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Hemmert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Archbishop Alter has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Shawnee, their record is now 6-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Alter will be taking part in a tournament against Eaton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shawnee, they will take on Bellbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
