Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, St. Joseph was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Portage Central Mustangs and fell 75-29. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. Joseph dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Portage Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

St. Joseph will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coloma at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Portage Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-53 loss against South Bend Riley on the 21st.
