Basketball Recap: Coventry Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Coventry won the last time they faced East Granby and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Coventry Patriots took down the East Granby Crusaders 40-21. The 40-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Coventry got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hailey Mayo out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Viera, who posted 11 points.

Coventry pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Granby, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Coventry will face off against Stafford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Granby, they will square off against Somers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
