Talan Bruha commands the offense for Chanticleers win

Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Wood River Eagles

The Ord Chanticleers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wood River and snuck past 67-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Ord got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Talan Bruha out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bruha has scored all season. Jordan Williams was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.

The win got Ord back to even at 7-7. As for Wood River, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Ord will head out on the road to face off against Doniphan-Trumbull at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Doniphan-Trumbull is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for Wood River, they will be playing at home against Nebraska Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Nebraska Christian has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
