Basketball Recap: Glenwood City Takes a Loss

Glenwood City fought the good fight in their overtime game against Unity on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unity Eagles. The Hilltoppers lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-21 score last time.

Despite the loss, Glenwood City still got an impressive performance from Brody Olson, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Olson's big performance that morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Klinger, who posted 12 points.

Glenwood City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Unity, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Glenwood City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Unity, they will square off against Cumberland on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Cumberland sitting on five straight wins and Unity on eight.
