Basketball Recap: Omro Comes Up Short

Omro lost against Laconia back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Omro Foxes were dealt an 84-55 loss at the hands of the Laconia Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Foxes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Spartans are ranked 79th).

Omro has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Laconia, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Omro will host North Fond du Lac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Laconia, they will take on St. Mary's Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
