Softball Recap: Artesia's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Artesia couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 5-1 to the Silver Fighting Colts on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Artesia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Fuentes, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Artesia's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Silver, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Artesia and Silver will both be playing Lovington the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Fighting Colts will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
