Baseball Recap: Spackenkill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rondout Valley last Thursday, Spackenkill came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Cornwall Central Dragons on Friday, falling 12-1. The Spartans have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Spackenkill now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cornwall Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Spackenkill will be playing at home against New Paltz at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Cornwall Central, they will take on Pine Bush at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bushmen have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
