Basketball Recap: South Rowan Comes Up Short

South Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Carson Cougars, falling 77-43. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 612th, while the Cougars are ranked 177th).

South Rowan's record now sits at 1-21. As for Carson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Coming up, South Rowan will host Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Cabarrus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Carson likes a good challenge.
