Baseball Game Preview: Columbia Coyotes vs. Waitsburg/Prescott Cardinals

The Columbia Coyotes will head out to face off against the Waitsburg/Prescott Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waitsburg/Prescott took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbia, who comes in off a win.

While Columbia's victory against Highland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coyotes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Scots 7-6. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Waitsburg/Prescott came up short against Dayton on Friday, falling 15-1. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Waitsburg/Prescott, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went Columbia's way against Waitsburg/Prescott when the teams last played back in April of 2021, as Columbia made off with a 14-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
