Football Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Bayside's offense. They came up short against the Okeechobee Brahmans on Friday, falling 22-0. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Chris Evans looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 79 yards and one score. Those 79 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Okeechobee, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Bayside will welcome Cocoa Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Okeechobee, they will head out on the road to take on Jensen Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' defense has only allowed 10.1 points per game this season, so the Brahmans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
