Football Game Preview: Baldwin Park Braves vs. Maranatha Minutemen + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Valentino May and Cooper Berry are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Baldwin Park Braves will be playing at home against the Maranatha Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin Park has given up an average of 29.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Baldwin Park turned things around against Diamond Ranch on Thursday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 42-35.

It was another big night for Jacory Coleman, who rushed for 111 yards on only eight carries, and also caught one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August. Choyce Hampton was another key rusher, gaining 94 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Maranatha posted their closest victory since October 11, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Whittier Christian 42-39.

Maranatha had a senior duo take command as Morgan Freeman rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown and Bradley Loiacono picked up 68 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Maranatha was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Maranatha's record now sits at 7-3. As for Baldwin Park, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
