If Scotland County was feeling good fresh off their 11-3 takedown of North Shelby on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Scotland County fell just short of Canton by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. Scotland County's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Scotland County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Arnold, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Arnold has hit this season.

Scotland County's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Canton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
