Basketball Recap: Webster County Takes a Loss

Webster County lost against Macon County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Webster County had to suffer through a 77-50 loss at the hands of the Macon County Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Webster County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while Macon County is ranked 240th).

Joshua Fulks had an outrageously good game for Macon County as he went 9 for 17 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarigee Collier, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Webster County and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Macon County, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Webster County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-58 victory against Byne Christian on the 10th. As for Macon County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-53 defeat against Bainbridge on the 6th.
