Soccer Game Preview: Colquitt County vs. Cairo

The Colquitt County Packers will face off against the Cairo Syrupmakers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Colquitt County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Valdosta on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Packers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Cairo kept a clean sheet against Monroe on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Golden Tornadoes with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Syrupmakers.

The victory got Cairo back to even at 3-3. As for Colquitt County, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything went Colquitt County's way against Cairo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Colquitt County made off with a 5-0 victory. Will Colquitt County repeat their success, or does Cairo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
