Recap: DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals vs. Curwensville Golden Tide
The DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 62-50 win over Curwensville on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as DuBois Central Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2021.
When it comes to explaining why Curwensville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hunter Tkacik. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Tkacik scored 15 or more points. Parker Wood was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The victory got DuBois Central Catholic back to even at 11-11. As for Curwensville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.
DuBois Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Curwensville, they will head out on the road to face off against Clearfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
