Basketball Recap: Cresset Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Durham Flight Homeschool

Cresset Christian Academy won the last time they faced Durham Flight HomeSchool and things went their way on Monday too. The Cresset Christian Academy Eagles snuck past the Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight with a 58-52 victory. That looming 58-52 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Cresset Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Shane Fitzsimmons, who posted 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fitzsimmons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Davis, who put up 11 points.

Cresset Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cresset Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on New Garden Friends at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chatham HomeSchool at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
